We had Camden's 3rd birthday party on May 4th this year.
The biggest news was this:
Our beloved Tata and cousin R. came in for the party. There isn't a better birthday gift than family in my opinion.
Camden had a superhero party this year and thankfully the weather was nice enough for us to hold the bash in the backyard for the second year in a row. It was the perfect chance to put our new deck to good use.
We rented a bounce house again this year. Only bigger to accommodate all the party guests. Like my adorable niece. Seriously her brown eyes make blue eyed girls jealous.
The man of the hour had several outfit changes. This was his Super C shirt I whipped up for him.
There was adult entertainment...but listen beer pong in your 30's is a little different than it was in our 20's. These men could barely hit the cup.
I found this adorable idea on Pinterest to get villain balloons and have all the super hero party goers attack them with silly string. But by the time we got to the game most of the villains had already been popped so we improvised and just gave everyone a can of silly string and said "ATTACK!" They LOVED it. (Notice birthday boys outfit #2)
They were ruthless and the shrieks and giggles of happiness as they chased each other and the adults down I'm sure were heard by half the neighborhood.
Up next was the pull string pinata which was a bust in my opinion because one yank of the string and the whole thing fell open. I tried to hold it together to give everyone a turn before I just gave in and dumped the goodies out all over the yard. That's when I realized they could care less about the activity of opening the pinata in comparison to grabbing all the goodies!
The big sister with her pinata haul! I had candy, superhero bracelets, stickers and kazoos in there. The kazoos were the crowd favorite.
My friend made these awesome superhero cupcakes for us. She is so talented. I sent her a couple pictures and
Singing to my three year old baby boy. I know that's an oxymoron, but I'm struggling with letting my last baby go.
We had so much fun hanging out with our friends and celebrating the beginning of the little man's 3rd year. Happy birthday Camden Elliott - we all love you so much!!!
What a great party!
